Kapseret is a new constituency under the new constitution, Oscar Sudi is its 1st member of parliament. Considering his landslide win in 2013 elections and the popularity on the ground, Sudi was expected to retain his seat with ease. That was until Kericho by-elections happened.

That is what Oscar never knew. When KANU lost in Kericho Oscar kissed goodbye his Kapseret seat. His fate was sealed when Cheruiyot alias Kiptoyot was announced Kericho's new senator. The Moi money was sweet but was it worth the seat? Its chess some moves have consequences.
In a land where WSR calls the shots, any opposition against Ruto is political suicide. Ruto endorsing you is same as winning the election. For Ruto to endorse Oscar Sudi after his open opposition against him will be a miracle but again it is politics, anything can happen.
