Swarrup Mishra addresses press. |
Kapseret Member of Parliament Hon Oscar Sudi is said to have
had an upper hand in the party nominations.
Kesses Mp Hon Mishra is said to have sharply differed with both Mandago
and Oscar Sudi during the past campaigns.
In a campaign meeting
purported to have been held at 64 Resort in Eldoret, Mishra is said to have had
“serious disagreements” with the duo. The meeting which was attended by Energy
CS Hon Keter and Treasury CS Henry Rotich among other highly placed government
officials saw Mishra leave the meeting agitated.
Mishra’s Concerns
Swarrup Misha is said to have questioned why Kesses nominees
had been left out. It is said that there were people selected for nomination
but their names were later changed and replaced with those of Sudi’s preference.
Mishra’s persistence is said to have angered the two who at some point demanded
payments for the positions to be returned to Kesses.
Oscar Sudi
Oscar Sudi managed to recapture his Kapseret seat and was
instrumental in Mandago’s campaign. Together with Alfred Ketter, the three
mounted a heavy campaign against Buzeki whose campaign seemed to have been
pegged on the non-locals.
Sources close to the county’s leadership say Sudi is
increasingly playing a powerful role in ensuring Mandago has a smooth second
term.
