In a rather
twist of events, KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion has turned down the
offer by ODM Party to include him in the list of nominated Members of
Parliament.
Sossion on Monday confirmed during the inauguration
ceremony of Baringo Governor Stanley Kiptis that he met with Raila Odinga and
asked him to remove his name from the nominees list. The Secretary General
further explained that he reached the decision after considering the heavy work
at KNUT.
The announcement comes just days after reports emerged that Sossion
had been asked to step down for the badly beaten Isaac Rutto.
Wilson
Sossion had actively campaigned for NASA and fronted the candidature of Raila
Odinga.
