Mandago Sworn In, Promises an Inclusive Goverment

Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson  Mandago was on Monday officially sworn to office for his second and final term at Eldoret Sports Club. Together with his deputy Dr. Daniel Chemno, the two took the oath of office before delegates invited and members of public.
In his inauguration speech, Governor Mandago thanked Uasin Gishu residents for giving him another opportunity to serve them. He also thanked the residents for keeping peace and promised to work with everyone regardless of whether they voted him or not.
In attendance were heads of various institutions, business people, Uasin Gishu County Senator elect Prof. Margaret Kamar, County Women Representative elect Gladys Boss Sholei, MPs and MCAs elect.
Mandago won the just concluded elections with 195109 votes (57.21%) against his fierce rival Zedekiah Kiprop alias Buzeki who garnered 145952 votes (42.79%).
